Bloc name - Building Bloc
Bloc meeting point – Waterloo station, 10AM
Bloc description – As long as both the flow of oil finance and the flow of the black stuff continue unchecked our treacherous course towards catastrophic climate change continues. The building bloc will be there to stop the oil industries flow, helping construct a cleaner future for us all.
Bloc aim – To stop the flow.
Primary bloc activity – Expect to build and occupy. Think dozens of beautiful strange structures of dissent helping us stand our ground for a brighter future.
Who should join this bloc – People ready to be active while holding a space and ready to beat the oil industry at their own game whilst doing it. You don’t need to be a builder, just have a desire to create, agitate and to claim and hold your space. A couple of dozen of you should have a head for heights!
As with all constructive activities we’ll need tools and materials. The materials will appear magically out of nowhere, the tools however you will bring: your hands, your imagination and your rebellious bodies. Working in affinity groups will make things much easier, so come with friends and stick together. We will be building a device of resistance that is both living space and blockade. Be prepared for some of you to get high!
